With election day a little more than a month away, it is extremely important to educate those who would otherwise remain undecided going into November. A lot of press has been generated for a variety of reasons surrounding Sarah Palin. (You know, the hot governor from Alaska) In my opinion, living in America is one of the greatest privilages one could have. People in other countries dream of being so fortunate. So naturally we take most of the liberties available to us for granted. One of the most essential and overlooked rights we enjoy is the right to vote. It is embarrasing that we display one of the lowest voter turnout records compared with other democratic nations in the free world. While citizens of other nations take pride in their right to vote, we as a whole only vote if we're not busy that day. Therefore it is extremely important to be educated prior to casting your vote. Nothing upsets me more than people voting based on a ridiculous presumption. For example, last election you would hear people saying they voted for George W. Bush because he was more likeable or one might enjoy "sitting down and having a beer with him." Reprehensible. Or the notion that John McCain's nomination of Sarah Palin will attract women voters. While I cannot deny that that is the case, it's shameful that somebody would vote for somebody simply because they are a woman. Or the fact that people won't vote for Barrack Obama because he's African American. It would be wonderful if people actually edcuated themselves and voted based on prinicples their respective candidates actually believed in. Which is what scares me so much about John McCain's nomination of Sarah Palin to be his Vice President. Her record is horrendous and this site will be used as a tool to reveal it to those that might not know who they're going to vote for. Grab your pencils...
